C&R's Delicious Diner!

Some of you have already experienced the delights of Rodney and Chantelle's cuisine. - you're in for a real big treat!

On the menu will be freshly prepared and cooked on site a very yummy selection including Hog Roast Baps with apple sauce, Aberdeen Angus Beef Burgers with all the trimmings, Aberdeen Angus Cheeseburger with all the trimmings, Jumbo Cumberland Hot Dogs with onions, Halloumi Burgers with all the trimmings and they will have vegan options too! 

Very reasonably priced menu - prices between £5 - £7

So no need to pack heavy picnics - C&R have something for everyone!

The Laughing Stock bar will be fully stocked with a range of chilled larger, cider, wine, prosecco, mixers and soft drinks.

INTRODUCING THE LAUGHING STOCK SILENT DISCO

We are excited to introduce to Laughing Stock a silent disco which will be situated on the raised lawn which is to the right of the gate as you walk in.  Running from 3pm - 6.30 featuring the talents of DJ Jo and DJ El Waz.  Headsets £5 payable by cash or card.

VENDORS AND SUPPLIERS

We have a few spaces for vendors in the market square.  Please contact the organiser at linda@laughing-stock.co.uk we'd love to hear what you have to offer! 

 

TICKETS & EVENT COMMUNICATION

As per previous years, there will be a limited supply of tickets so please book ASAP to avoid disappointment. We are expecting the event to sell out as before.

Please make a note to check the website for the latest news and the day before, at 9pm, please make a note to check the website for news of any need to cancel the event, due to events beyond the organiser's control e.g. adverse weather etc.

PLEASE NOTE - THERE WILL BE NO TICKETS FOR SALE ON THE DAY.
We will be using a different ticketing system this year so please enter each individual ticket holder's name at the point of purchase. Once purchased you will receive a confirmation email that your transaction has been successful. 

 

PLEASE NOTE - YOU DO NOT NEED TO PRINT YOUR CONFIRMATION EMAIL OR TICKETS. 
Let's help save the planet! Ticket Holder details will be checked via a master guest list, upon entry.

Approximately one (1) week before the event, you will receive a further email with all relevant news and information including line-up timings etc.

Your name and the names of your guests will be added to the gate list which will be checked off by our security staff on arrival.

TRAVEL TO AND FROM THE VENUE

Guests are encouraged to use public transport or a taxi service.  Please arrange for drop off and pick-up at a point well away from the entrance lane from Russell Road to avoid congestion.  In the interests of safety/congestion avoidance, please do not use this area for a drop off or pick up point. 

May we thank you in advance for your cooperation with this request.  

PARKING

THERE IS NO PARKING ON SITE. 

As stated, we would advise all guests to travel by public transport or taxi. However, if driving, please use public car parks nearby or surrounding roads. Please ensure you park appropriately and consider our neighbours & local residents. 

Manor Park Car Park - £1.50 for 2+ hours. 

Adjacent road to Shepperton Cricket Club (TW17 8JR)

GAZEBOS

Due to the popularity & space available, the number of gazebos on-site must be limited. Therefore, there will be a charge of £40 per pitch, for the limited number of gazebo spots available.  Limit of 2 gazebo spots per request.

If you wish to request & purchase a gazebo pitch, please email linda@laughing-stock.co.uk.

 

Please note - you are NOT guaranteed a gazebo spot by emailing.  Spots will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis - in the order emails are received and you will receive an email confirming you have a gazebo spot. 

 

Please note, all pre-booked gazebos MUST be delivered to the site by Thursday 10th August.  PLEASE NOTE There is no access for vehicles on the day of the event or the day before.  

CAMPING

Since Laughing Stock falls on a Saturday we are offering limited camping pitches for anyone wishing to stay over - £40 per pitch.

Please note, if you are unable to carry your tent to the site, you will need to ensure it is delivered by Thursday 10th August. There is no access for vehicles on the day of the event or the day before.  ​

 

SAFETY & CHILDREN

Children are welcome at Laughing Stock.  Children will be given a wristband on entry.  Their parents/carers will be asked to write their name and mobile number on the wristband just in case you get separated.   Please let any children know to ask security for help if they get separated from you and point out the sound tent to them where an announcement can be made on the PA.  Please bear in mind that loud, amplified music will be playing. It is advisable that smaller children wear ear defenders. Others with sensitive hearing should also take this into account.  

Please ensure children are supervised at all times as this event is a riverside.

Under no circumstances must guests enter the water - the riverside will be fenced and/or marshalled at all times. 

 

The organizers accept no responsibility/public liability for any loss/injury as a result of guest negligence and/or inappropriate behavior.

 

Please consume alcohol responsibly.

SMOKERS

PLEASE AVOID PUTTING OUT CIGARETTES ON THE DRY GRASS.  PLEASE BRING AN ASHTRAY/BUCKET WITH YOU IN THE INTERESTS OF HEALTH AND SAFETY.  THANK YOU!

FIRST AID

St. Johns Ambulance first aid team will be on hand if you need first aid - they will be positioned just past the entry gate as you walk in on the right hand side.  Please make a note when you arrive where they are located.

IN CASE OF FIRE/EVACUATION

Please make your way to the venue's main gate - Security will be on hand to direct you.  There is a fire point in the adjacent woods.  Once the incident is under control, you will be given further instructions from the Security team.

PETS

We love dogs! We really do!  However, the venue will be loud and busy and so we have a NO DOGS policy.  Please organise a sitter for your beloved pets.  Thank  you!

RAFFLE

There will be a selection of top raffle prizes.  Please take a look nearer the time - this year we will only be holding a raffle (not an auction), so as to keep this part of the day as short as possible.  Raffle tickets will be on sale throughout the day - look out for the raffle girls - £20 per strip.

GUEST CANCELLATION POLICY

Laughing Stock is a charity event.  Due to the set-up and admin costs, refunds are not available.  Please note tickets are not transferrable unless authorised by the Organiser.  This is to prevent ticket scammers.

ORGANISER CANCELS THE EVENT

The safety of our guests is of the utmost importance to us.  In the event we have to cancel the event due to weather, global pandemic, etc. tickets will be honored for the rearranged date. 

 

PLEASE NOTE!

Any announcement re. cancellation will be made at 9pm on Friday 11th August. 

WEATHER

We advise our guests to bear this in mind, drink plenty of water, wear hats, take an umbrella for shade and wear sun screen.

PHOTOGRAPHY

There will be a photographer on-site throughout the duration of the event. Images will be shared with guests and will be used for future event promotion. If you do not want your image used in promotions, please email linda@laughing-stock.co.uk
